"I bought this to help save the environment from plastic cartridge blades and also to save money as DE blades can be easily replaced regularly. Other DE safety razors seem to dig into my skin and cut me not my beard. This razor seems a lot better and whilst still not as good as my expensive five blade gives an adequate shave."
"These are the best razors you can buy. Both the cut throat razor and the classic double edge razor are excellent quality and give a very close, smooth shave. The blades are extremely sharp and easy to replace. They save so much money compared to buying disposable razors, as the replacement blades are very cheap. "Excellent quality razor. Good weight and balance in the hand . Blades are unbeatable quality and are easily replaced. I also use a cut throat razor and have found this double edge razor to be just as good . Blades stay sharp and are a fair price . I always take the blade out after shaving and give it and the razor a good clean which leaves the razor in mint condition ready for the next shave ."
"I love the traditional (stainless) steel razor. It is quite heavy, if you are used to a plastic throwaway nasty, but by contrast, feels solid. With no plastic, it can be recycled and the blades are easy to change. There are only two small things dislike. Firstly, that WS should make a carry case for the razor (and blades) for when you are travelling and secondly the razor blades case is a little rubbish and should be redesigned."
"Anyone looking to buy please dont botther , it looks like wilkinson has outsourced shipping to supplier , who accepted the order , charged the card, 3 days after advised of delay, when questioned simply cancelled the order without communication and product is now out of stock (again after valentines day). I would go with other online suppliers than this website. completely disappointed , wilkinson should have respected the order than cancelling it WITHOUT any communication"
"I have returned to double edged razor blades after a long spell with cartridge razor blades. This is mainly because I think cartridge razor blades are less economical. I also like the neatness of the double edged razor and the fact that it creates minimal amounts of waste in disposal. Likewise, I suspect the shaving brush and bowl are more economic and less wasteful than aerosol cans of shave gel. Obviously the blades are particularly sharp and in the past I have reused them over several shaves. I am very satisfied with my purchase both in terms of quality of shave and value for money. I like that the system is simple and effective."
